The biggest fight of the year KRISTOL vs DAMON

Some day's I just feel really bummed out about a lot of things.

The economy
The wars we are fighting
The fact that WHAM will never get back together.

Usually though something will break the dull drums I'm in , the clouds will part, the sun will shine and VOILA ,a lil nugget of joy of a story will land on my lap!!!

Courtesy of Big Hollywood..........

On Sunday afternoon Weekly Standard editor and New York Times columnist Bill Kristol — in an email exchange with Big Hollywood — agreed to debate Matt Damon on his Hollywood home turf after being informed the 38-year old actor ridiculed Kristol in an interview in the Miami Herald.

“He’s an idiot — he wrote that we should be grateful to George Bush because he won the Iraq war. We! Won! The! War!”

Matt Damon just can't help himself. He knows stuff cause he read a script once that had stuff about war and suffering and stuff in it.

I so hope that Damon has the testicular fortitude to take Kristol on. There is no amount of script reading that is going to save his ass from an educational behind whooping that he will get slapped on him by Bill. Just because you heard something from George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh does not make it so Matt my boy.

If he does have the stones to do this I hope it is in public venue cause I would want to go and just yell " MATT DAMON!!!!!!"

If you want to know why I would want to do that, PLEASE watch this short informational video on ACTORS

Jimmy Carter is wrong....In defense of President Bush

From Mark Radulich

One of the best piece's I have read so far on why President Bush's Presidency is not ' THE WORST EVER. And as always in good articles I enjoy, a reference to Jimmy Carter's presidency which sucked tremendously !!!

( H/T )

One week ago was the PRAYER heard round the world

It has been one week since our new President has been sworn in, and I think enough time has passed for me to comment on one of the most amazing things I had ever seen in a swearing in ceremony. The prayer by Reverend Joseph E. Lowery.

It's hard to stun me. He did!!!

I guess if Rick Warren had gotten up and said.......

" Let us pray for the day that Black won't hit back, when brown can swim to dry ground, when yella won't be such a short, brainy fella, when the red man can get off the booze man and when white won't be so up tight" .......

there would be NOOOOO blow back from the MSM I'm sure

Tabitha Hale from Pink Elephant Pundit and Smart Girl Politics had this take on the rhyming reverend..............

Division along racial lines is exactly what the left says they are trying to overcome - all they are doing is defeating their own cause by allowing this rhetoric to not only continue, but to dominate yesterday’s proceedings. We saw a campaign defined by race, and now we’re in for an entire term defined by race, which makes me more than a little sad.

See the video and the rest of Tabitha's take right here.

If your doing a prayer, just pray to the LORD.

Save the comedy stuff for Saturday Night Live

Don't pet or feed the RINO, just be friends with it!!!

The Grand Poobah ,John Brodigan over at is writing about a subject that has bugged me for quite some time, the RINO in the republican party. RINO standing for " Republican in name only". I actually left the party in 1991 after President Bush 41 broke his pledge on "NO NEW TAXES" and was chastised because I didn't go along happily. I believe it was Reagan that said if I agree with someone 80 % of the time good enough for me.

Mr Brodigan echos this same thought...

What makes me roll my eyes is the attitude from some that the key to our success is to exterminate all “RiNO’s” from the party. There are some people who think the best way to reach out to new voters is to limit who we allow in the party. Other’s have a slightly different opinion. Consider Mississippi Governor and former RNC Chair Haley Barbour who a) is no “RiNO,” and b) was chairman in 1994 when we WON seats…

President Obama might have been right after all. Maybe HOPE is alive, even in the Republican party.

America still likes the Gipper

In scouring the pages of the Internets looking for stories to make a conservative libertarian smile, I stumbled upon this gem . The Gipper is the President most Americans want President Obama to emulate.....

When given the choice of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, George Washington, Andrew Jackson, JFK, Dwight Eisenhower, Theodore Roosevelt, Harry Truman and Ronald Reagan – registered voters overwhelmingly said they want the new Democratic president to emulate the late conservative Republican president, who held office in the 1980’s.

“Reagan was the overwhelming favorite among Republican voters," said Ron Faucheaux, president of Clarus Research Group, the nonpartisan Washington, D.C., company that conducted the poll.

"He received 59 percent as the president GOP voters want Obama to emulate. Nobody else came close."

But Reagan got the highest support of any president overall, regardless of party affiliation, at 26 percent -- followed by Franklin D. Roosevelt at 18 percent. JFK was third (17 percent) and Abraham Lincoln fourth (13 percent.)

A little ray of sunshine to brighten my day. Even more so than the warmth from " THE ONE'S personality!!

I wonder if Reagan would have ever told Tip O Neil, " Well, you know Tip, I WON the election so just fall in line" Someone will have to ask Tip's former chief of staff Chris Matthews that after the tingle stops going up and down his leg!!!!

WOW............ that was almost quick.. TOM Hanks is still a TOOL

As you might recall last week I wrote a little diddy about the brain surgeon known as Tom Hanks. His delicate sensibilities were in a tangle because of Prop 8 being passed in California. This braniac decided to insult those who had the audacity to disagree with him by saying that we were Un-American.

Call me late for dinner, don't call me at all. But never call me Un American for dissenting from Hollywood's grand plan!!!

He had made these comments at a party held for the HBO show Big Love which depicts modern day Mormons in Utah. The Mormon church was a big supporter of prop 8, which explains why Tom had diarrhea of the brain and it spilled out his mouth.

What a difference a week makes. Now Mr Hanks thinks that maybe he was over reacting just weeeeeee bit....

"Last week, I labeled members of the Mormon church who supported California's Proposition 8 as 'un-American,'" the actor said in a statement through his publicist. "I believe Proposition 8 is counter to the promise of our Constitution; it is codified discrimination."

Well at least he isn't babbling something about " our self correcting constitution" He continues....

"But everyone has a right to vote their conscience; nothing could be more American,"

Thanks Tom, my head will hit the pillow tonight and sleep will immediately ensue knowing that what I think you approve of as being AMERICAN again.

What a crock!!! First off he delivers this through a publicist and not in person like he did before. Probably after his publicist was taking heat and someone remninded him that OH YEAH maybe Mormons and other people of faith SPEND MONEY AT MOVIES!!! What a tool.

After my last post someone reminded me he had made some movie about a plane wreck or something and that there are some lewd scenes with a volleyball. I have never seen such movie with Tom Hanks in it. If this is true though, it explains a lot about why this guy is not really in touch with reality.

I can only forgive him now if he makes Bachelor Party 2, and WITHOUT Adrian Zmed.

A repeat of 1994 in 2010 ?

Mike Volpe over at The Provocateur has written a dandy little article on how the Republicans can be the loyal opposition. He also touches on the creeping suspicion some of us have that maybe President Obama is a little too cocky and arrogant out of the chute...

Please go over to the the RFC website and check out more of what they plan on doing and if you can also contribute, I am, hopefully so can you!!!!!

2010 is not that far away and I'm glad we will be able to prep with RFC radio in the BLARING in the background!!!!!!

President Obama..WHYYYYYYYYYY

I knew this day would eventually come. The President had campaigned on it and had threatened it many times when he was in Michigan and across the country.

No I'm not talking about shutting down the Big 3, he has decided to get rid of the Detroit Lions.......

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Calling its existence “an affront to everything our nation stands for” and declaring its legacy “a stain upon our history that we will never be able to fully erase,” President Obama fulfilled one of his longstanding campaign promises in the first hours of his presidency by ordering that the Detroit Lions are to be dismantled and outlawed

I mean really , other than close club Gitmo this is the only other promise you decide to keep!!!!!

The whole SAD story is here

The Greatest politcal ad EVER!!!!!

The most difficult and destructive debate of our time.

I can only add that this is one of the most powerful arguments I have ever seen made to be PRO LIFE. The irony of course is the person of interest in this ad is of course pro abortion.

Rachel Maddow is a genius.......... or maybe not

Now I have to admit, When I'm in the mood to watch some political commentary I watch MSNBC more than Fox. I love watching Chris Matthews dribble on himself trying to make a point before the air is totally pressed out of his lungs, or watch Keith Olberman trying not to be the pretentious ASS that the Lord wanted him to be. I mostly watch because these clowns are SOOOO biased that it keeps me sharp, I never want to be caught flatfoot in a debate and watching MSNBC is prep. I can listen to some outrageous point made by a "respected" reporter like Chuck Todd and break it down so that if I'm ever on one of these programs I will know how to lay the wood on them and make it HURT!!

"Never be afraid of the opposition" so said my great great great Uncle George Custer.
It didn't work so well for him, but I get his point.

Well now to complete the un holy trinity over at the MSNBC of Matthews and Olberman is Rachel Maddow. A lot of people I talk to HATE Rachel Maddow.

I find her mildly amusing, kinda like a BIG pimple you get as a teenager. You admire it for a while and than squish it. Unlike the Olberman pimple that you just pop and is just a blippin mess.

Now I get the whole schtick with Maddow, she never has anyone on that will disagree with her ( Just like Olby) because her positions are as weak as Bill Clinton's will, pre heart surgery, at an all you can eat buffet. She is there primarily because she has some wit, and she is essentially a female Olby. Gotta give the derelicts who are not working, Code Pink, we hate George Bush at any cost crowd a pin up girl too.

So I guess I'm trying to say I think she's bright, she just chooses not to exert her intelligence for whatever reason. Maybe she wants to be the one who sends a TINGLE up Matthews leg?

So when I recently read that she had said this my first thought was " she's being a good corporate employee, Keith is gonna give her a cookie!"........

“The idea that there’s any equivalency between us and Fox News...” she says. “Fox is a political experiment. Imagine them having somebody as liberal as Joe Scarborough is conservative doing their whole morning? It doesn't make sense."

But than she goes and TOTALLY blows any confidence of mine in her smarts by dropping this little nugget of information...................

Yet after the panel, Maddow told a huddle of reporters she doesn’t own a TV and has “never seen a show on Fox at any time ever.”

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?! You have never watched FOX or own a TV ? Rachel go over to Olby's house, I'm sure once you get past all the pictures of himself lining the entire hallway, he has a least 10 tv's on Fox, as is evidenced by his constant obsession with Bill O Reilly.

You are missing some great TV too, like Bill hitting on Meghan, Bill hitting on Amanda, Bill hitting on Monica. It's must see TV!!!

Honestly though, your in the business, watch the competition, or at the very least don't comment on something YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. It makes you look foolish. More so than your asinine pontificating and over the top cheekiness you do all ready.

I had hope for you and now hope has been dashed. It's not even 2 days into the AGE of OBAMA ( which is hope don't ya know) and I feel like this.

President Obama said Hope and Change is on the way, Rachel, I Hope you Change!!!

OR at the very least watch Fox for a 1/2 hr a day, I promise you won't melt!

Possibly after watching Bill Hemmer you might get a tingle up your leg. I won't tell Olby, I promise!!!

My thank you note to President George W Bush

Mr President,

Today you leave the office you have held for the past 8 years. Just as it was when you first took office from President Clinton, the peaceful transfer of power will occur and we once again show the world why this is the greatest Republic in the world.

I can't believe it has been 8 years. I remember sitting up till 3:30 in the morning waiting for the 2000 election to be called, and when they called Florida for you, I damn near woke up the whole neighborhood hollering for joy. Of course we all know what transpired then.

As it turned out, your path to the Presidency while more difficult than any other in modern history, turned out to be the easy part.

The events that transpired on 9-11 changed this country and the world on a scale that still we have trouble comprehending. A enemy that does not value life as we understand it in this country, was and is, poised to take as many of us down at every chance that will present itself to meet some narrow religious or political view.

You have stood in the face of this opposition and held firm. There is not a soul that was alive on Sept 12 ,2001 that would have thought 7 years since we would not have another attack on our soil. This is thanks to your policy's put into place by your administration and Congress, along with the dedicated men and women carrying them out each and every day without fanfare. Only with the passage of time will the world and the nation see, these actions have kept us safe!

Your Presidency has not been solely all foreign policy though, you have made some radical changes on the domestic front. Changes that A lot of us will have trouble digesting for years to come. The kind of changes that make me want to put my head in a vice like in that scene from Casino with Joe Pesci.

I do believe you have always done what you felt was best for the country, and you have done it without worrying about what your popularity poll rating was going to be for that day. I admire you for that.

So as you fly off to retirement in Texas Mr President, thank you for keeping this country safe the past 7 years. I hope the country can muster the resolve to fix some of the problems we face now as you did with keeping this country from harm.

Tom Hanks is a TRUE American IDIOT

Tom Hanks had made some pretty good movies in my opinion over his career. Who could forget Bachelor Party? He also was executive producer of HBO's John Adams last year, which was a great mini-series about one of the most underrated founding fathers.

So of course this ACTOR has to go all intolerant on me and call me Un American. I mean, he did not call me personally intolerant, but those who supported California's Prop 8 initiative back in November which passed by a 52 % to 48 % margin.

To quote the great one........

“There are a lot of people who feel that is un-American, and I am one of them. I do not like to see any discrimination codified on any piece of paper, any of the 50 states in America, but here's what happens now. A little bit of light can be shed, and people can see who's responsible, and that can motivate the next go around of our self correcting Constitution, and hopefully we can move forward instead of backwards. So let's have faith in not only the American, but Californian, constitutional process.”

He's basically pissed at the Mormons for pouring some dough into this proposal.Even though it was a large swath of all faiths and creeds which supported this, no matter to Tommy poo the Mormons are a easy target cause their weirder I guess than his pal Tom Cruise's Scientology bunch.

But truth be told all major religions, Christians, Jews and even the happy warrior Muslims all have some basic teachings and rulings against gay MARRIAGE. MARRIAGE is a religious institution that is recognized by local governments, it's really that simple. You can't change the definition of the word MARRIAGE anymore than you can make Michigan's own Madonna a virgin again. It just isn't possible. If you want to have a civil ceremony recognized let's have that debate. I personally could give a flying two glo sticks what the hell people do behind closed doors, but whatever Rosie O Donnell and her slave errrr wife do behind closed doors is not defined as being married.

I also get a kick from Forrest's comment about " our self correcting Constitution"

What the Hell does that mean? When does the Constitution self correct itself? I suppose one day when I go to check the Michigan Constitution I will find the Constitution gremlins will have put in a provision to prevent people from Canada ever running for Governor in this state again. Sad this wasn't put in before Jenny Granholm ran this place into the ground. Maybe the self correcting Constitution is like self correcting spell check, I mean I have no idea what this TOOL is talking about!!

Tom you stick to making movies and let the rest of us do the thinking, the world is a much safer place when that happens!!!!

The incoming and outgoing random thoughts

This is the week people. PEBO becomes POTUSBO and I can't wait!!! I have a sneaking suspicion he will start jacking with the country with executive orders in the first 24 hrs and than the battle begins!!

The Detroit Lions hired a coach on Thursday. Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz was announced as the Lions 50th head coach and the latest sacrifice to try to get us to the promised land. He has a impressive record as a defensive coordinator and their is hope in Detroit........... And THAN

Four hrs later the Tampa Bay Buccaneers decided to throw up all over my parade and fire Jon " CHUCKY " Gruden. Just the type of coach I would love to have in Detroit. Good luck to Coach Schwartz you will need it sir.

I have no proof of it yet but I have a sneaking hunch that we are on pace for a above normal winter of snowfall accumulation. I betcha Al Gore never even thinks of giving back the Nobel peace prize!!!

I wonder what President Abraham Lincoln would have thought of Gov Blago? And Gov Blago's hair?

And for your viewing enjoyment.......macho sauce

The world was better for having you

This here lil blog o mine is meant to rely my thoughts on a number of things, mostly politics but really anything I feel like writing. I was told by a fellow blogger that she considered her's to be a 'JOURNAL OF THE MIND". I kinda liked that, so here is what's on my noggin.

This past Saturday January 10, 2009 we lost a member of our family. Our Aunt Pat died at the age of 71. She had been in a nursing home for a number of years due to the onset of dementia and the past month she had encountered a number of difficulties which required constant medical attention.

The easy and I guess humane thing to say is that she is at peace now, and she is no longer suffering.

When it's a member of your family though, and someone who made a positive impact on your life, it's never easy.

She was preceded in passing by our Uncle Marvin over 14 yrs ago and has left behind our cousin Matt and his 3 children , which she absolutely adored.

It's exceptionally hard, at least for me, as I get older to watch these people who I have been blessed to have in my life, grow old and frail. I still consider myself a " KID" around them because of the way I looked at them when I actually was young.

My Mom and Dad and my Aunts and Uncles were all larger than life to me with not only with them being taller than me, but with all the infusion of their personalities.

Personality was something my Aunt Pat had in spades!!!!!

Some of my earliest memories of childhood were going over to Marv and Pat's house over on Buckingham in Warren for holiday's and birthday parties. The one thing you could not escape from in that house was laughter, people were always laughing. Mostly from stories told at some other family members chagrin , and of course from the zingers tossed at everyone by everyone. If my Uncle Marv and his three brothers ever embellished a story, my Aunt was right there to correct them, sometimes using inappropriate language in Polish to do so. She had grown up in the same neighborhood as the fellas, so she knew what the score was.

She would sometimes say the things that were on your mind that you wish you could say and say it with zest. Mostly I think just to see the look on your face, and than she would break out into her laugh. I loved that laugh, it absolutely filled a room and you could not resist joining in when she was on one of her rolls. When she told me a dozen years ago that she could not believe how I had turned out, I thought maybe she meant I was destined for a life of crime. However, what she meant was, I had turned out to be a " decent looking guy after being such a nerdy looking kid." After seeing the look on my face which must have been SHOCK and AWE, she started laughing, gave me a hug and told me she loved me. For me than, everything was fine, It was just Aunt Pat being "Crazy Aunt Pat" a name which someone dubbed her in later years and one I think she relished.

The last couple of times I went to see her were this past Christmas eve and day in the nursing home. She was sitting in a chair outside her room both times and recognized me immediately but would sometimes slip back into some past time. I would sit next to her and just hold her hand and try to get her mind on a subject she knew and would talk about. She would tell a funny story from the old days, and she finally taught me a dirty word in Polish. She constantly kept telling me how much she loved me. She also kept repeating this to my Mom when she was there and when my Uncle Jack and Aunt Jan were there to visit her on Christmas Eve. I have been reflecting on this for some reason since Sat and I think I now know why. Even though her health was fading and her mind somewhat clouded she still wanted it known she still loved us no matter what condition she, or us, would ever be in. I wish I would have told her that everyone knew that and felt the same way.

And even though she was not in the best shape, she was still worried about how my cousin Matt and the his kids were doing? At numerous points on my second visit she looked at me and asked where Matt was? I would tell her that he was at work and would be stopping by later in the day , and that always calmed her at least for a moment. Through the fog of dementia, the light of love for her family could never be dimmed.

It's always at times like these that the right words are struggled to be found, but of course, there never are. I'm only able to pray for the Lord to give strength to myself but for my extended family who grew up knowing the same " Crazy Aunt Pat."

For my Aunts & Uncles who have a lost a sister, that they have known for over a half a century and who made that 50 plus years a little brighter.

And I pray that the Lord somehow guides my cousin Matt and his kids through this. I have no earthly idea how one navigates a loss like this and deals with it, and explains it to children. I do have faith though, if it is asked for Him to provide, a path will appear.

And if you have read this I ask a personal request. If you could please also say a prayer for my Aunt but also for Matt and his kids, that the Lord may comfort them at this most difficult time. I thank you in advance.

Patricia LaDuke.......

The world is a better place for having had you here, and we are all better people for having known you!!

This song is driving me nuts

I am so liking this song right now. I have some fascination with any song that only mentions it's title once in the song. This started the first time I heard " Kashmir" From Led Zeppelin .

Any way I think this is just a fab song and the video is slightly trippy. Not bad i say...not bad

The pain is finally subsiding for Lions fans

It's been 2 weeks since my football teams season ended.

Well.....actually my football teams season ended right after the preseason.

My Football team is the Detroit Lions.

And now being the hurt of the miracle season of 0-16 is beginning to fade while I watch really good teams play, the architect of this years team and of the last 7 yrs now has a job on NBC talking about football!!

His record of 31-81 as his tenure as general manager of the Lions gives him the unique ability to ......ahhhhh comment on ummmmmmmmmmmmm I guess football.

And being I ALWAYS try to be positive, I found this clip enlightening and thought to myself.............................

Well at least it's not Keith Olberman

Monica Conyers to the rescue in the Middle east....Hurray

I read this story three times just trying to imagine what good is going to come of this.

Monica Conyers, current Detroit City Council President and wife of legendary Congressperson John Conyers, will be heading to Israel on a FACT FINDING mission to see what can be done to achieve peace!!

Can't make this stuff up folks.

Illinois and Chicago might be the most corrupt and sad place on the earth for politicians but dammit if Michigan and Detroit don't give try to give those bastards a run for their money!!

For those of you not in the know, Monica has a long and distinguished track record of let's say , losing her cool.

In April of 2007, she made headlines when she called former Council President and current Detroit Mayor Ken Cockrel " SHREK" during a shouting match in council chambers. She has also been involved in a number of other brush ups with the police needing to get involved.

The only logical reason I can think of her going is to show the Israeli's how WE do it in Detroit!!!

Hamas doesn't stand a chance.!!!

Below is a video of the blow up in council and her getting questioned later that week by a 8th grader in the Detroit Public Schools system. IT IS A CLASSIC

Hat tip to Charlie LeDuff of the Detroit News for the video

An Open letter to Dr Ron Paul on losing his Kibbles & Bits

Dr Ron Paul Sir,

I consider you somewhat of a genius. I think some of your work to raise awareness on the governments immoral deficit spending brave and very forthright. You have single handily taken that issue and made it your own. You were the voice of reason for those fiscal conservatives during the primaries, that just couldn't get over the fact that Mitt Romney's hair never moved.

Had John Mccain won, I had visions of you being named Treasury Secretary or something to do with finance with the word Czar after it.

In the video below, you touch on some of these things and it rings so true to my ears. I wish you would just keep up the awareness campaign you and your sane followers started. It's important stuff!!!!!!!!!!!

But than you went and made this video talking about the ground invasion into Gaza, and you utterly make no sense. NONE, ZERO like as in how much money the country will have soon!

Did he ever take a breath?

I honestly don't understand this prevailing thought today that Paul regurgitates that this was preemptive strike on Israel's part. I mean Dr Paul lives in Texas. If the country of Mexico decided to send missiles and not people over the border, I have a feeling the 82nd airborne would be dispatched in about 30 mins and it would not be considered preemptive. It would be retaliatory. The cease fire ended and Hammas decided to act as though it was the 4 of July!

And they are launching a few small missiles? On Tues Jan 6 2009 30 missiles or mortar shells landed in Israeli territory fired from Gaza. I don't know what your definition of a few is, but I sure as Hell thought you had a better understanding of numbers than that to call 30 IN ONE DAY a few!!!!

And one small direct missile hit can ruin your day Ron ole pal!!!!

Also the notion that the Palestinians are living in concentration camps. I mean honestly, are you kidding me? I like to be a little blithe in my commentary, but to compare what the Palestinians are doing to THEMSELVES in the west bank to what the Germans did to the Jews in WW II is downright irresponsible.

They are able to move around freely in a area twice the size of Washington DC. I'm sorry they have to go through checkpoints to leave but it sucks when your elected government is a declared TERRORIST organization!!

Their quality of life has improved dramatically since the Israeli government has taken over the area after the 6 day war in 1967.

All they have to do is agree to Israel's right to exist, I mean how difficult is that???

For the sane!

In the 2000 Camp David accords President Clinton did everything but hit Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak with a cattle prod to get him to agree to concessions to the Palestinians that included GIVING THE LAND BACK won after the 67 war and letting them govern themselves. But alas everyone's favorite Ringo Starr impersonator, Yasser Arafat squashed the deal because at heart THEY DON"T WANT ISRAEL TO EXIST. Not there or here or on Mars, well maybe Mars.

Ron pal, the Israelis should not have to give back land to a determined enemy that wants to wipe them off the map. It doesn't make sense, and as we have seen, it only emboldens your foe to really try to kill you. If were going to demand that, I think your sitting on some land that might have been taken illegally from my ancestors some 180 yrs ago. So under those rules , just leave I'll come and pick up your stuff. I think I saw some cool stuff in your library I could use.

And take some of your followers with you. I 'll be waiting for you to join the sane again one day and we might be able to laugh about this!!!

But I'm keeping the Library!!!!

Billy Mays can save the GOP

After watching the debate for RNC chair today I was left a little underwhelmed. I don't think anyone flubbed as badly as I have read about, but I just didn't get a overwhelming sense that any of these guys had their finger on the pulse truly of what is ailing the GOP.

It might have been the format and everyone was being a little cautious, I really am not sure!

But after the debate I got to take a lil fiesta nap, and lo and behold in the dream the greatest salesperson EVER to have walked on the Lord's big blue marble we call Earth, came to me and gave me lottery numbers.

While I am not at liberty to give out those numbers it occurred to me that BILLY MAYS could be a effective GOP chairperson. I mean Hell, who cares what he thinks. Howard Dean was a walking disaster after 2004 and he turned out to be a decent DNC chair. You don't have to believe anything, just sell BABY sell!!!!

If you don't believe me look at this short video........

I know it sounds far fetched but hey, the party has done dumber things. Like 2008, in total!!!!!!

I would love to hear BILLY MAYS talk about TAX CUTS, DEFICIT SPENDING, and defending Larry Craig's toe tapping in Sen Al Franken's home state.

Sorry, that last part of the previous sentence even made me Ill. AL FRANKEN FOR GOD"S @#$%*&^%# SAKE.

Call your Voting delegate today and tell them to put in a vote for BILLY MAYS!!!!!!!

Do it now before the Ron Paul people get him!!!

In AMERICA...What can you do in 15 seconds?

I try to be a bit cheeky about stuff that I observe and write about.

For this video though....I just can't

This video is from a Hamas rocket attack in Sderot, Israel.

I can't imagine a air siren going off as a daily routine and having to take cover in 15 seconds or less!!

There is something extremely wrong with anyone who would just lob a missile to kill innocent people. And some of the arguments I have been reading about Israel should show restraint I think are so off base as to wonder about anyone who would present that argument as being sane. If you lob missiles with the sole intent to kill innocent people you should expect a response meant to kill you!

If Islam is truly a religion of peace, than those people who believe that, better hijack the high ground from these nut jobs or tears and bloodshed will be the only thing you ever know!!

And I hate to say, deservedly so!

The top 25 songs of 2008

Under the I have wayyyyyyyy too much time on my hands category, I found this video thanks to John Brodigan on the ole You Tuber. Somebody else with too much time but infinitely more talent than me, mashed up the 25 songs that hit #1 in the USA in 2008.

Pretty damn interesting so i thought I would share.

At least my favorite Sara Barellis made it for a short second. All is right with the world.

Soooo now I know what Ritalin is used for

I don't have kids.

I know people who have kids, and they talk about things like this young man's reaction in hushed tones. And always, the question is asked " Are they on Ritalin?"

I present to you now, the You tube sensation.. Wii Scream

You know come to think of it, I had this very same reaction when O J Simpson's trial verdict was announced. I just can't remember for what trial it was though!!!!

Dear MR / MRS Congressperson leave the BCS alone

One of the great things about New Years day is watching the traditional college football games and relaxing and recovering from the revelry of the night before.

The BCS ( Bowl champion series ) was instituted in 1998 by the 6 major conferences of college football to " crown " a national championship. It has been a imperfect system to say the least. But generally it has produced very good games to watch on the Monday after New Years day to enjoy and sit back and watch two very good teams battle it out to see who is champ!!!

Now Congress wants to get involved to help fix any problems or perceived slights in the system ...........

Rep. Joe Barton of Texas, the ranking Republican on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, didn't specify what sort of playoff he wants -- only that the BCS should go.

"In some years the sport's national championship winner was left unsettled, and at least one school was left out of the many millions of dollars in revenue that accompany the title," Barton said in a statement released ahead of the bill's introduction. "Despite repeated efforts to improve the system, the controversy rages on."

He said the bill -- being co-sponsored by Reps. Bobby Rush, an Illinois Democrat, and Michael McCaul, a Texas Republican -- "will prohibit the marketing, promotion, and advertising of a postseason game as a 'national championship' football game, unless it is the result of a playoff system. Violations of the prohibition will be treated as violations of the Federal Trade Commission Act as an unfair or deceptive act or practice."

Now I'm all for our friendly congresspeople trying to help out us plebs whenever possible.

BUT REALLY!!!!!! What in the Hell are you thinking??????!!!!!!!!!

With a brand new President coming into office, our economy in not so wonderful shape, TWO,COUNT THEM, TWO WARS going on and the middle east about to go KABOOM , Let's really sit back and think about our priorities.

Yeah THE FRICKIN BCS ranks right up there.

Now being that Rep Joe Barton is from Texas and his other Republican Co Hort is from Texas probably one of those Texas Univ got screwed in the past 10 yrs. Too damn bad fellas, I'm a Lions fan, while you tools are at it why don't you try to pass legislation to find out why my team has sucked since 1958. We haven't won a damn championship since your fellow Texan Bobby Layne quarterbacked this team.

That should qualify for at least a hearing right?

The really great thing is he states he isn't sure what he wants to replace it, just it need to be replaced!!!!!!!!

It's great that to make this bi-partisan you got Rep Bobby Rush D-Illinois to take a step back from his ohhh so helpful comments on the Illinois senate mess to chime in on this one to.

If any one of this people should ever maneuver to get one of these bills to see the light of day on the floor of the house of representatives , I suggest bringing back Dick Cheney out of retirement to water board them on pay per view. Or making them watch Micheal Moore eat and shower until they apologize. All proceeds going to charity of course.

There are MUCH more important things to be doing than mess with this right now. When you have fixed the rest of the problems in the country we would love to have your input!!!!!!!!

I'm not holding my breath for that eventuality!!!!

A Very Happy New Year!!!!!!!

Here is my virtual toast to everyone that 2009 is somehow the best year of your life ever!!!!

I personally have a sneaking suspicion that this year is gonna suck , kinda like having to watch a Hillary Clinton speech on & on & on. But who knows , I thought 2008 was gonna rock and other than getting a note from Sara Barellis it kinda was a bust.

Maybe, I'm using reverse psychology, so this will be a good year!!!!!!

I hope this is the best for everyone!!!!!!!
