In a filing of a definite sign of the times, those who have been appointed to President Obama's auto task force don't own American made cars. Out of the 18 people ( 8 members and 10 assistants ) only 2 own American made cars.

WASHINGTON -- The vehicles owned by the Obama administration's auto team could reflect one reason why Detroit's Big Three automakers are in trouble: The list includes few new American cars.
Among the eight members named Friday to the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry and the 10 senior policy aides who will assist them in their work, two own American models. Add the Treasury Department's special adviser to the task force and the total jumps to three.
Now being I live in Detroit area, I do have a little bit of a different view on this than the rest of the country. So I'm not going to argue American vs Import here today.
I'm wondering why in the HELL the UAW supports Democratic candidates without question.
According to the website Open Secrets here, in the 2008 Presidential Election cycle the UAW donated almost 98% of it's 25 million in donations to Democrats.
WHY?
The Democrats have been willing accomplices in helping kill off Detroit. Whether it be advocating 50 state individual emission standards or dragging the executives before Congress to beg for loan guarantees to help keep the UAW membership employed.
And with he revelations that Sen Harry Reid KILLED provision in the Porkulus bill to give a tax break to car buyers to help spur sales but instead diverted that money for a HIGH SPEED RAIL system from Las Vegas to Los Angeles I think the betrayal should be absolutely clear.
There are many reasons for the reason the Big 3 is in trouble. A large part of that is the unimaginative leadership at the UAW over the past 30 years that has put all their money in one party's basket.
Now that party is breaking those eggs over their heads
